DescriptionBlack Friday (Universal, 1940). Very Fine- on Paper. Insert (14" X 36").
This terrific insert features one of the greatest cinematic pairings of all time, Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi, starring in this crime/horror gem. Morally questionable surgeon Karloff attempts to save a friend's life by transplanting his brain with that of a dying gangster. Kurt Siodmak penned this film which would solidify his name as a top horror writer. He would go on to script other horror films including: The Wolf Man, The Invisible Man Returns, House of Frankenstein, and Son of Dracula. Touchup has been applied to a tear in the top border and to fold wear and minor separations. Other indications of use include pinholes, unobtrusive stains, in addition to a couple of faint tape stains.
Estimate: $1,500 - $3,000.
