DescriptionGang Smashers (Million Dollar Distributing Co., 1938). Fine+ on Linen. One Sheet (26.5" X 41").
When he's not at the hottest nightspot in Harlem, Gat Dalton ( Lewis Criner) is running the Harlem Protective Association. And when a grocer (Arthur Ray) doesn't pay up, his store is blown up. The cops investigate and think they have Dalton pegged for the crime, until the Cabaret Club Singer Laura (Nina Mae McKinney) provides him with an alibi. But in truth she is an undercover cop trying to bust Gat's protection rackets. With an all-black cast, this stellar gangster picture is infinitely better than most of the pictures made for the all-black audiences. This is the second time Heritage has offered the very rare one sheet on this film. There has been restoration to edge and fold wear, a few creases, and small tears. The poster had chips in the borders and folds, including a chip in Nina Mae McKinney's face. The poster's borders have also received touchup. Fine+ on Linen.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
