Behind the Screen (RKO/Van Beuren, R-1934). Fine+ on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41") Reissue Title: Behind the Scenes.
Though originally released as a silent short in 1916, Van Beuren Studios purchased the rights to all of Chaplin's Mutual comedies in 1932 and rereleased with with RKO, adding in sound effects and an original musical score by Gene Rodemich and Winston Sharples. Much of publicity for this film's sound reissue features the original title of the short, making this retitled poster a rare treat for collectors. Beautifully restored and making its first appearance at Heritage, this poster no longer displays such indications of use as fold wear and separations, pinholes, a couple of small gouges, as well as minor chips in the folds. There was a 0.5" trim along each border, which have been replaced and airbrushed. Chaplin's credit has some light touchup. Fine+ on Linen.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
