Becky Sharp (RKO, 1935). Folded, Fine+. Leader Press One Sheet (27.25" X 41"). From the Mike Kaplan Collection.
Offered by Heritage for the first time is this rare Leader Press One sheet from the 1935 adaptation of Vanity Fair starring Miriam Hopkins, Frances Dee, and Cedric Hardwicke. Leader Press film posters were printed by an independent manufacturer in Oklahoma City that made posters for studio released product and sold them to theater owners at reduced prices. Their print runs were normally much smaller than the standard studio one sheet run and thus the Leader Press posters are more scarce. The poster displays such signs of age including significant fold separations, a few tears and chips, pinholes, as well as brittleness. There are several strips of archival tape on the verso bracing folds and tears.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
