Description

    Audrey Hepburn Lot (Various, 1951-1963). Photos (8) (8" X 10").
Vintage gelatin silver, single weight, glossy photos. When casting for Roman Holiday , director William Wyler was "looking for a girl who had class and poise and would be believable as a princess." Wyler definitely found his muse in the incomparable Audrey Hepburn. He's pictured with Hepburn, the quintessential gamine, in one of the photos (7.75 " X 9.5) which has a publicity snipe on the verso. Also included in this fabulous lot is a portrait from Love in the Afternoon (1957, snipe on verso), Young Wives Tale (1951, 7.75" X 9.75", snipe on verso), Roman Holiday (1953), Sabrina (1954, developer mark bottom right corner), Green Mansions (1959, slightly trimmed bottom right, date stamp verso). Director Billy Wilder coaches Hepburn, clad in an exquisite ball gown in one image from Sabrina, and in another photo the starlet is looking prim and proper in a behind -the-scenes shot from Charade (1963). Another candid image finds Hepburn enjoying some clowning around with the crew (Sabrina 7.75" x 9.75"). Photos may have light wrinkling, corner bends, edge wear/ and or pin or staple holes. Fine/Very Fine.
