    Description

Atom Man vs. Superman (Columbia, 1950). Very Fine- on Linen. Six Sheet (80" X 79").
With a heroic image of The Man of Steel battling a supposedly new nemesis, the helmeted mad scientist Atom Man, this extremely rare six sheet is a perfect acquisition for any serious superhero collector. Lyle Talbot plays the devious antagonist Lex Luthor, who disguises himself as Atom Man, and threatens to bring destruction upon Metropolis. It's up to Superman (Kirk Alyn) to save the threatened city in this thrilling adventure serial. Alyn would star in two serials for Columbia as the Man of Steel, which were the first live action appearances of the famous DC Comic character. In good shape even prior to professional restoration, this larger than life poster once displayed edge and fold wear, a few fold separations, creases, pinholes, and small tears. There were some chips in the borders and folds. The poster's borders and "Atom Man" text have been airbrushed, completing the six sheet's restoration. Very Fine- on Linen.
