Description

At The Circus (MGM, 1939). Australian One Sheet (27" X 40"). The Marx Brothers save a mortgaged circus by convincing a Newport socialite to buy it for one show only. While this film might not rate as high as the previous MGM Marx Brothers films, it's certainly tough to beat Groucho's rousing rendition of "Lydia the Tattooed Lady." There is fold line wear with small areas of paper loss, some staining, smudges and multiple pinholes in the corners. Al Hirschfeld's comedic art is wonderfully represented by the colorful zinc-plate lithography on this Australian one sheet. Fine+.
