    The Nightmare Before Christmas (Touchstone, 1993). Lenticular 3-D Posters (3) (16" X 20" & 11" X 14").
This lot consists of three lenticular prototype posters from Eastman Kodak's Depth Imaging Division for the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. Two of the images (one larger and one smaller) feature Jack Skellington holding the head of Writer, Producer Tim Burton amidst a group of Halloween Town denizens and the other image is of Oogie Boogie preparing to kill Santa Claus. The Burton head was originally intended to be used at the finale in the ice hockey scene but was not. The photo crew asked permission to include the head in the photo and it is said the Burton kept a copy of this image. These photos were never intended for public consumption and the Oogie Boogie image is the only known example! The images all show minimal wear in the form of very light surface and verso scratches with a bit heavier surface scratching on the rear of the larger image. They also all show very slight laminate separation at some of the corners and edges. All three of these images were stage by Kodak's Brad Tierney and unfortunately were never used on posters released with the film. Very Fine.
