    Description

The Little King (RKO, 1934). One Sheet (27.25" X 41").
Created by Otto Soglow, The Little King first appeared in the New Yorker in 1931.
When his contract expired with the magazine, Soglow took the Little King to Van Beuren Studios, where ten cartoons were made between 1933 and 1934. These funny and largely forgotten shorts are imaginative with impressive animation and musical scores by Gene Rodemich and Winston Sharples. Highly scarce, this one sheet is a gem for cartoon enthusiasts. Minor touchup has been applied to chips and pinholes in the borders, folds with wear and small tears, and pinholes in the background. Tape lifts along folds on the verso can be noted and there are some tears in the top border/paperbacking that have archival tape on the verso. Fine+ on Paper.
