Description

Symphony Hour (RKO, 1942). Very Fine+ on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Featuring Mickey Mouse in one of his last leading roles in a Disney cartoon, this short is notable for its fast-paced orchestral chaos, emphasizing Disney's skill in syncing music and animation. It features the iconic "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2" and includes Donald Duck and Goofy in a rare ensemble setting. As a finale to the era of theatrical Mickey shorts, Symphony Hour captures the spirit and innovation of early Disney. Backed to linen, the poster received touchup to the original folds and a small hole in Mickey's raised hand. There is a single pinhole in the upper background and a light scuff in the lower area. It presents beautifully, and is remarkably well preserved.
