    Description

    Song of the South (RKO, 1950). Folded, Fine+. First Release Italian 2 - Fogli (39" X 55").
Presented for the first time, this lovely 2 - fogli comes from the Italian release of one Walt Disney's most infamous Oscar winners. Based on the popular Uncle Remus stories by Joel Chandler Harris, the production beautifully blends live action with animation, a quality reflected well in this poster. While controversy has risen regarding the soft-peddling of race relations during the Reconstruction era, the film still offers bounds of entertainment thanks to terrific animated sequences and a catchy score, which won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah." The poster shows such indications of handling as fold wear and separation, pinholes, creases, as well as small chips and tears. Also present is some writing bleedthrough in the title area, mostly unobtrusive stains and smudges, and toning.
