    Description

Song of the South (Buena Vista, R-1956). Posters (2) (30" X 40") Style Y and Z. From the collection of Wade Williams.
Blending live action and animation, this Walt Disney production is based on the popular "Uncle Remus" stories of Joel Chandler Harris. Though the film features fantastic animated sequences and a delightful score, it has been heavily criticized for soft-peddling race relations during the South's Reconstruction era. The two pieces offered here bring to mind more of the cheerful aspects of the film and are exceedingly rare. Both posters have light creasing. Style Y has small tears in the borders, some edge wear, and a chip in the right border. Style Z has pinholes, a chip in the top right corner and edge wear. From the collection of Wade Williams. Rolled, Fine/Very Fine.
