Produced by Walt Disney and directed by Clyde Geronimi, Sleeping Beauty is a lavish animated adaptation of Charles Perrault's classic fairy tale. The story follows Princess Aurora, cursed by the wicked fairy Maleficent to fall into an eternal sleep, until awakened by true love's kiss. Distinguished by its stylized, medieval-inspired design by Eyvind Earle, and Tchaikovsky's music adapted for the score, the film stands as one of Disney's most visually ambitious achievements. Though initially a modest success, Sleeping Beauty has since been hailed as an artistic triumph for its bold animation, widescreen Technirama format, and enduring influence on fantasy storytelling. Rolled and never folded, this whimsical poster exhibits only light toning and wear at the edges. These 30"x40"s were produced in much smaller numbers than one sheets, and are difficult to come by in any condition, let alone such a fine state of preservation.
