Peter Pan by Giuliano Nistri (RKO, 1953). Near Mint-. Signed Original Italian Mixed Media Concept Artwork on Paper (8" X 11").
Using elements from the original US one sheet to create his own image, Giuliano Nistri illustrates J. M. Barrie's famous Peter Pan for this piece of colorful concept art. The picture differs from Disney's American poster most in its map of Never-Never Land rather than picturing the rooftops of London, a design choice the studio would bring back for the film's 1970s reissue poster. Nistri worked on numerous movie illustrations over the course of his extensive career, including Le Mepris, Famous Love Affairs, Son of Godzilla, My Fair Lady, Black Sunday, and many more. This lovely piece of artwork has been signed by Nistri at the bottom and, even better, there are next to no defects to be found. Any edge wear, pinholes, minor rippling, or faint smudges most likely occurred during the artistic process, leaving this piece in the same excellent shape as it was on the day of its creation.
