    Description

    Krazy Kat (Columbia, 1936). Folded, Fine. Stock One Sheet (27" X 41") with Snipe (28" X 5").
Cartoonist George Herriman gave the world Krazy Kat, the one-sided paramour of the brick-throwing Ignatz Mouse. A long-running comic strip, it's now considered to be one of the greatest examples of that art form. In 1925, animator Bill Nolan brought his vision of Krazy Kat to the screen, a version definitely not based on Herriman's creation. The design of Nolan's Kat would change even more throughout the early 1930s, eventually becoming the more Mickey Mouse-like character pictured here. Included with the poster is a snipe advertising Gym Jams. Signs of use include edge and fold wear, mild fold separations, a few creases, and small tears. There are some very minor chips, smudges, as well as unobtrusive stains. The poster has a few bits of pencil writing in the lower and left backgrounds, tape stain bleedthrough in the top corners, and slight toning. Folded, Fine.
