    Description

    Fantasia (RKO, R-1946). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style A.
This ambitious Walt Disney production was developed from an animated short based on Paul Kukas' musical piece, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice." The eight minute short featured Mickey Mouse, and was orchestrated by Leopold Stokowski. So impressed were Disney and Stokowski with their creation that they opted to expand the project into a feature length picture. Incorporated are classical arrangements, such as Schubert's "Ave Maria," Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite," Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor," and Beethoven's "Pastorale Symphony." Though a box office disappointment upon release, the film would gain the interest of many upon its 1969 re-release, thanks to its psychedelic imagery. This beautiful first reissue Style A one sheet from 1946 has been professionally restored to like-new appearance, with touchup to the folds, nick in the top right corner, a tear in the bottom border into the background, and pinholes in the corners. Very Fine- on Linen.
