    Description

    Dumbo (RKO, 1948). First Post-War Release Italian 2 - Foglio (39.5" X 55").
An ebullient image of Dumbo highlights this Italian poster by artist Kremos (Niso Ramponi). A Heritage first, this format rivals the American paper in beauty. Walt Disney's fourth animated feature was designed to be simple and inexpensive, following the commercial failure (hard to believe now) of Fantasia and Pinocchio. It turned out to be one of his biggest money-makers and still stands up today as one of the finest animated films Disney ever produced. The poster had a chip at the top vertical fold in the border, and one in the right border. Touchup was applied to a tear in the right border, a minor crossfold chip, some small amount of fold wear, and a tear in the right background. The white border has had airbrushing, resulting in a very clean, rare and highly attractive Disney collectible. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
