DescriptionAkira (Toho, 1987). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. Japanese B2 (20.25" X 28.75") Advance.
Potentially offered to theater patrons on opening night, this very rare poster from one of the most influential anime films of all time comes printed on tea paper, which gives the piece its distinct coloring. As a feature of extra authenticity, the poster comes with a metallic sticker in the lower right corner from the publisher of Akira's original manga run, Kodansha. An exciting opportunity for fans of Katsuhiro Otomo's seminal work. Touchup has been applied to pinholes in the corners and some areas of the the background have been airbrushed. There are a few faint stains still visible. There is an official publisher's sticker in the lower right corner.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
