    Description

    Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (Universal, 1934). One Sheet (27" X 41"). In the early 1930s, Walt Disney was transitioning from a partially animated series called "Alice in Cartoonland" to the fully animated "Oswald" series. After a short time doing "Oswald," Disney lost the series to Universal due to financial setbacks. Walter Lantz took over and had a long-running hit with the plucky rabbit. This one sheet, from the Lantz version of "Oswald," is a teaser for the whole series. There are some fold separations that once had tape on the back. The tape was removed and the poster paper backed. Since the backing, there has been wrinkling on the edges of the backing and a tear that extends into the poster. Fine on Paper.
