    Description

Mr. Magoo's Holiday Festival (UPA, 1970). Poster (24.5" X 37.5"). Two television shorts starring the near-sighted Mr. Magoo (the voice of Jim Backus) that were brought to the big screen. The first was "Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol" from 1962, which was the first full length animated special written especially for television. Magoo is his boisterous self in the wrap-around pieces backstage, but plays the Dickens story relatively straightforwardly. A wonderful version of the tale, with music by Bob Merrill and Jule Styne (who had planned to have the song "People" in this production -- since it was too late to include it, they saved it for "Funny Girl"). "Little Snow White" was taken from the TV series "Famous Adventures of Mr. Magoo." This poster has light fold wear with some color transfer. Very Fine+.
