    Description

Mickey Mouse in "Alpine Climbers" (Good Housekeeping, 1936). Magazine (292 Pages). Animated.
The Good Housekeeping Magazines from the mid-1930s have always been sought for their "Mickey Mouse" pages. They were used by Walt Disney to promote upcoming Disney cartoons. This particular issue has a full color page for "Alpine Mickey" which was used to promote Alpine Climbers, which was released 25 July 1936, just a few months after the magazine. The magazine is also a veritable gold-mine of illustrations of 1930s Americana, including full page color ads for Coca-Cola, Ford, Firestone, Old Dutch Cleanser, fashion ads, and many, many more, in the 292 pages! An unrestored magazine that displays signs of use. May include light edge wear. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Fine/Very Fine.
