    Description

Ichabod and Mr. Toad (RKO, 1949). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14"). Due to the belt-tightening of World War II, Walt Disney's theatrical releases after 1942's "Bambi" were no longer feature-length stories. Instead, these films were composed of multiple stories, including the two tales that divide this animated classic. The first is based on the children's story, "The Wind in the Willows," about an irresponsible toad, and the second retells Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." The story of Ichabod Crane endures as a Halloween staple for many families, and this lobby card set focuses its attention on this half of the film as well. Two pinholes on one of the cards hardly detracts from the set, so all Disney and animation enthusiasts should be thrilled to add this rare title to their collections. Near Mint.
