DescriptionAnimal Crackers (Paramount, 1930). Fine/Very Fine. Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Not offered at Heritage in over fifteen years, this colorful lobby card comes from the Marx Brothers' second feature, an early comedy from the Brothers' years at Paramount. Any original paper from the picture is an exceptionally rare find among collections, with lobby cards being among the rarest items in recent years. This card in particular should be of interest to Groucho fans as it features a shot of the Brothers' fearless leader in his natural habitat: carousing with a group of lovely ladies. The card has such signs of wear as soft creases, pinholes towards the edges of the printing, small surface scuffs, and a couple of minor tears. There is a very light stain in the center of the image and a faint bit of foxing in the lower border. Overall, however, the card presents very well and retains its bright colors from when it was originally printed.
Estimate: $3,000 - $6,000.
