Angels with Dirty Faces (Warner Brothers, 1939). Full-Bleed Swedish One Sheet (27.5" X 39.25") Eric Rohman Artwork.
"Whadda ya hear? Whadda ya say?" James Cagney delivered one of his greatest performances in this picture, as the gangster Rocky Sullivan, a kid who couldn't run faster than his pal Jerry Connolly (Pat O'Brien). To say this film is a classic is an understatement, as Father Connolly tries to keep a gang of kids (The Dead End Kids, no less) from going down a bad path in life by idolizing Rocky. The film co-stars Ann Sheridan, as the girl whom Rocky loves, George Bancroft (a classic gangster from the silent era) and the sniveling Humphrey Bogart who finds out he was seriously mistaken to think he could cheat Rocky out of his dough! The picture delivered on all levels with blazing machine guns, and Michael Curtiz' direction of Rocky's final walk to the electric chair is still as dramatic as it was in 1938. The poster shows only a slight tiny tear on the right edge, but is otherwise in excellent unused condition. Folded, Very Fine/ Near Mint.
