Angels with Dirty Faces (Warner Brothers, 1938). Fine/Very Fine. Linen Finish Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Brisk direction by Michael Curtiz, a superb score by Max Steiner, and terrific support from Humphrey Bogart, George Bancroft and the Dead End Kids add up to make Angels with Dirty Faces one of the best crime dramas of the thirties. James Cagney gave the performance of his career - from his classic line "Whadda ya hear, whadda ya say?" to the final scene of panicked tears as he walks the last mile to the electric chair, securing him his first of many Academy Award nominations. Offered at Heritage for the first time, this linen finish lobby card has received partial touchup to pinholes, small paper lifts, minor tears, and censorship holepunches. Still visible is edge wear, soft surface scuffs, and unobtrusive stains. There are several strips of paper tape on the verso.

    Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
