DescriptionAngel (Paramount, 1937). Australian One Sheet (27" X 40") Hans Flato Artwork.
In this classic Ernst Lubitsch film, Marlene Dietrich plays a young wife who feels neglected by her husband (Herbert Marshall), a British diplomat who travels frequently. To relieve her boredom, Dietrich takes a vacation to Paris, where she meets a dashing American (Melvyn Douglas). Dietrich is her usual stunning self on this bright, color saturated one sheet. The poster has been mounted on linen and touchup applied to the folds, pinholes, and to a few spots in the black background. There is a small reattached chip in the right border. Unaddressed wear includes small border tears, a dust shadow at the lower right edge, and a scratch to the upper right. Very Fine- on Linen.
Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
