    American Entertainment Co. (c. 1898). Fine+ on Linen. Advertising Poster (41" X 27.25").
Making its Heritage debut is this excellent piece of stone lithography history, an advertisement for the American Entertainment Co. and their novel film presentations. This was so early that dedicated movie theaters were not yet established, as the colorful image shows the projector set up among a packed crowd in an opera house. The name gives little indication of the true history of the American Entertainment Company, but we can assume that this advertising poster printed by the Donaldson Litho Co was produced after 1898 when that company moved to Newport, Kentucky, as printed on the poster. Professionally restored, the poster no longer shows fold wear, minor chips in the borders, or a few tears into the interior. The side borders were once trimmed near the image but have been replaced, and all of the poster's borders have been airbrushed. After these corrections, the poster looks wonderful and would make for a fabulous display item! A very rare film poster indeed!
