    Description

All Quiet on the Western Front (Universal, 1930). Fine+. Title Lobby Card & Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Still considered one of the finest anti-war films of all time, All Quiet on the Western Front won Oscars for Best Picture and Best Director in 1930. Based on the award-winning book by Erich Maria Remarque, the film stars Lew Ayres as a young schoolboy who enlists in the German army and faces the horrors of World War I trench warfare. Realistically shot with graphic violence, the film created a sensation upon its initial release. Its emotional power is still effective, even in the present day. Both cards show slight corner bends, small tears, scattered pinholes, surface scuffs, and scratches. The title card has small chips in three corners, and the scene card has a few pieces of cellophane tape in the bottom border and on the verso. Fine+.

    Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
