DescriptionAlice in Wonderland (Paramount, 1933). Very Good on Paper. Half Sheet (22" X 28").
Paramount threw all that it could into this epic Pre-code adaptation of Lewis Carroll's curious children's tales. They brought in the screenwriting talents of the great Joseph L. Mankiewicz and William Cameron Menzies. Offered by Heritage only once before, this rare half sheet features Alice, the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, Tweedles Dee and Dum, and the whole motley crew. Professional restoration has addressed some creases and surface scuffs in the interior, in addition to a half-inch trim in the top border, and a one-inch trim, up to the edge of the image area, in the side and bottom borders. The borders and white background have been airbrushed, and the credits and parts of the image area have received some color enhancement.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
