    Description

The Soldier and the Lady (Bell Pictures, R-1945). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14") AKA The Bandit and the Lady. Adventure.
This film was re-released in 1945 with the re-title The Bandit and the Lady. The re-distributor, Bell Pictures, hoped to capitalize on Akim Tamiroff's name, after he became well known with fine performances in The Way of All Flesh, Tortilla Flat, The Corsican Brothers, and others. Bell even moved Tamiroff and Fay Bainter to "starring" positions on the poster billing of this issue. Starring Anton Walbrook, Elizabeth Allan, Margot Grahame, Akim Tamiroff, Fay Bainter, Eric Blore, Edward Brophy, Ward Bond. Directed by George Nichols, Jr.. An unrestored lobby card set of eight that appears virtually unused. Closer inspection may reveal one or two minor flaws, such as one card with some small surface dots, very faint stains, some edge wear, 'and a small chip in the top right border. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. The overall grade is Very Fine/Near Mint.
