During the late 19th century, nobleman Robert commits a robbery and is deported as a convict. Years later, he manages to escape and seeks revenge on his brother and former wife. Directed by Gustav Frohlich, the film was shot in Germany at Bendestorf Studios outside of Hamburg in 1948. The film is based on the novel by French writer Honore de Balzac, and this spectacularly rare poster was created for the Italian release of the film and boasts incredible artwork by famed artist Anselmo Ballester. The poster displays edge and fold wear, a few minor tears, pinholes, tiny chips, and subtle toning.
