    Description

The Corsican Brothers (TransOcean, R-1950). Argentinean Poster (29" X 43"). Adventure.
This is a very interesting poster for several reasons. First of all, it's a scarce example of a horizontal Argentinean poster, and a really nice one. Secondly, General Don José de San Martin is Argentina's maximum hero. In 1950, the 100th anniversary of his death, another general, General Juan Perón, decreed that all documents that year would have printed them: 1950, Año del Libertador General San Martin, which you will find in the lower right border. Even all school children had to write that on every page of all their notebooks! Starring Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Ruth Warrick, Akim Tamiroff, J. Carroll Naish, H.B. Warner, John Emery, Henry Wilcoxon, Gloria Holden. Directed by Gregory Ratoff. An unrestored poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have edge wear with small tears, slight paper loss, pinholes, minor stains and smudges, some toning, corner bumps and surface crinkles, and/or some fold separation. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Folded, Fine.
