DescriptionThe African Queen (United Artists, 1952). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Humphrey Bogart may have risen to fame playing gangsters during the 1930s, but by 1952 his acting talents were so finely honed that he won an Oscar for portraying a drunken riverboat captain who embarks on a mission with a spinster (Katharine Hepburn) to sink a German battleship during WWI. This remains one of Bogart's and Hepburn's best films and this one sheet dazzles with all of the action that John Huston's film promised. There were small chips with some tears in the borders, and touchup has been applied to the folds. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
