    Description

The African Queen (United Artists, 1952). One Sheet (27" X 41").
This gorgeous one sheet features magnificent artwork of the film leads Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn in many forms of peril, including explosions, ravenous wildlife, and restless natives. Bogart would win the only Academy Award of his career for his portrayal of Charlie Allnut, an alcoholic who leads Hepburn's Rose Sayer down a river to bomb a German gunboat during World War I. Collectors and admirers of the film will not want to miss out on this vibrant piece. Prior to restoration, the poster had pinholes in the corners, and a small chip in the top border. Touch-up work has been done to the folds. Very Fine- on Linen.
