    Description

The African Queen (United Artists, 1952). French Grande (47" X 63"). Humphrey Bogart as an aging alcoholic river boat captain and Katharine Hepburn as a patriotic spinster decide to cruise down an African river to attack a German destroyer during World War I. Legendary director John Huston went on location to shoot this epic film that would go on to take the Oscar for Best Picture of the Year. This beautiful French grande has a few edge tears on the top border with fold wear and cross fold separations and chips. There is some minor bleed through from writing on the back but not in any important areas. The poster has been mounted on linen to stabilize it, and some light touch up has been done. It displays very nicely. Very Fine- on Linen.
