The Adventures of Robin Hood (Warner Brothers, 1938). Argentinian One Sheet (27" X 41"). This is one of the greatest swashbuckling action/adventure movies ever made. The dashing Errol Flynn was born to play the role of Robin Hood, a bold and reckless rogue who organizes a revolt against a corrupt régime that has suppressed the poor and helpless for years. This was the perfect heroic image that depression-weary audiences yearned for and flocked to the theaters to see. Minor defects include pin holes, minor crosspoint separation, and a 2-inch tear eminating from a pinole in the top border which extends through the edge and slightly into the image. There is a small paper remnant of a snipe over the words "Superproduccion: First National" and there are also some small tears, edge and corner wear and some areas of foxing in the border. This is a rarely seen piece of art for this film. In fact, this artwork was done by the famous artist Tomei is very different than anything done for the U.S. release. Its colors are rich and vibrant and the image is sharp and beautiful. This stone litho looks great and is a very unique find. Fine/Very Fine.

    Estimate: $2,500 - $3,500.
