    Description

Tarzan's Jungle Rebellion and Other Lot (National General Pictures, 1970). Lobby Card Sets of 8 (2) (11" X 14"). Adventure.
This lot includes two complete lobby card sets of eight for two Tarzan films issued to theatres by National General Pictures in 1970. The second title with a full lobby set of 8 is for Tarzan's Deadly Silence (1970). The films were made from two part episodes each of the Ron Ely television Tarzan series that ran in the late 1960s. Mike Henry was supposed to play Tarzan but wanted a limit on wild animals used and more safety features for the series. Ron Ely got the job instead, and promptly proved Mr. Henry correct. Ely had 17 different prominent injuries in the first season alone, including being bitten twice by a "tame" lion!Starring Ron Ely, Sam Jaffe, William Marshall, Lloyd Haynes, Nichelle Nichols, Manuel Padilla Jr., Jason Evers, Harry Lauter, Ulla Strömstedt, Charles Wood. Directed by William Witney. Unrestored lobby cards with bright color and a clean overall appearance. They may have general signs of use, such as very edge wear, pinholes, toning in one set, creases and crinkles. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Fine-.
