Tarzan Escapes (MGM, 1936). Three Sheet (41" X 81").
Perhaps the most controversial of the Tarzan pictures made at MGM, this exciting third entry in the series was a lavish production. Lots of money was spent on the film and the preview audiences were very unhappy with the results. The film was dramatically re-edited with reshot scenes for a more approving premiere. The story deals with Tarzan being captured by a big game hunter who wants to take him back to civilization to exhibit him. The posters on this film have always been very scarce and Heritage has only sold a one sheet, midget window card and some lobby cards in the past. This amazing stone litho three sheet is the only copy we have ever seen and we believe it to be exceedingly scarce. The poster has some fold wear, an additional fold and some crossfold chipping, but is overall very clean and unrestored. Get this rarity while you can! Very Fine.
