Tarzan and the Leopard Woman (RKO, 1946). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Johnny Weissmuller makes a tenth appearance in the long-running Tarzan series, where he uses his sleuthing skills to find out if leopards are really killing nearby travelers. He soon discovers the culprits are a cult of women who wear metal claws to keep Europeans out of Africa, led by the High Priestess Lea, played by B-movie beauty Acquanetta of Captive Wild Woman fame. This film is generally considered the best Tarzan movie after RKO acquired the property from MGM, and this one sheet is accepted by many collectors to be one of the most attractive posters in the series. Airbrushing has corrected tears pinholes, and fold separation in the borders. Parts of the lower acting credits background is airbrushed to correct fold wear and tape bleed-through. Chips, pinholes, and fold wear have all been touched up.
