    Ivanhoe (IMP, 1913). British Three Sheet (40" X 88").
King Baggot is Ivanhoe in this silent adaptation of Sir Walter Scott's classic novel. Loaded with thrills and pageantry, the film chronicles the love between an adventurous knight (Baggot) and his enchanting Lady Rowena (Evelyn Hope). Printed by Jordison & Co, London & Middleborough (England). Wilifred of Ivanhoe, Richard III, and Robin Hood all cross paths in this great tale, filmed at Chepstow Castle, where the film is shown to tourists to this very day. The image of Baggot as Ivanhoe is just incredible and somewhat larger than life. This film was simultaneously released in Britain and the US, and was the first of two Ivanhoes produced and released in 1913. Boasting rich colors and a stunning stone litho image, this is Heritage's first opportunity to sell this eye-catching country of origin poster. Restoration has addressed a tear with a couple small chips in the lower section, and touchup has been applied to some folds. The poster shows foxing and pinholes in the borders with some in the image, a very small chip in the image, and some horizontal creases. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
