    Description

    Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom Special Poster Display (Lucasfilm/Proctor & Gamble, 1984). Commercial Display (16" X 17.5" X 6") with Special Posters (50) (17" X 22") 3 Styles. Adventure.
Offered as a Heritage first is this fabulous original display promoting Stephen Spielberg's contemporary classic, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Produced in conjunction with Proctor & Gamble, it allowed the savvy shopper to leverage their purchase of such home staples as Bounce fabric softener and Comet brand cleaner, towards the ownership of one of four special styles of movie tie-in posters - each featuring iconic images of the film's main characters, including Indy (Harrison Ford), Short Round (Jonathan Ke Quan as Ke Huy Quan), and the dreaded Mola Ram (Amrish Puri)! An unrestored display and posters with bright colors and a relatively clean overall appearance. The posters are in generally unused condition, and many are still bound with their original tape wrapping. They may show some signs of extended storage, such as light edge wear, creases, small tears, faint stains, or soft folds. The case itself shows additional wear, including light staining (with tape stains in the upper corners), surface paper lifts and scuffs, tears, limited surface warping, and some pen markings on the front and verso. There are two pieces of packing tape still attached near the upper cardboard flap, which were used during the original distribution process. Three of the four original poster styles are present. The case does not include any copies of Poster 2. Due to the weight and dimensions of this lot, shipping costs may be higher than usual. Please see full-color, enlargeable images above for more details. Rolled, Overall Grade: Very Fine-.
