Hercules (Warner Brothers, 1959). Poster (40" X 60"). Between 1959 and 1964, there were some 170 sword and sandals films made in Italy (approximately 10 per cent of all the Italian output in that era), and it was the success of this film in America that got it going. Steve Reeves plays the mythological hero, who labors mightily to rescue the Princess Iole (Sylva Koscina) and assist Jason (Fabrizio Mioni) in regaining his rightful throne. This rolled poster has edge wear and tears with wrinkling, small tears in the image, and a stain in the upper tagline. The poster has been mounted on linen and some touch-up has been done.
