Description

    Frank Buck & Glen Cravath Lot (RKO, 1930s). Autographed Original Art by Glen Cravath (8" X 12"), Heralds (2) (16.75" X 21.5" & 17.25" X 22.5"), Game Map (14" X 20.5") & Sketch Pages (4) (5.5" X 8.5"). Adventure.
An amazing collection of materials related to RKO's Frank Buck jungle films and the artwork of Glen Cravath. Included in this lot is a piece of signed original tiger artwork by Glen Cravath, which has been backed on cardboard; four sketchbook pages with notes stapled together, titled "Frank Buck's Jungle Secret," a four paged newspaper style herald and an oversized telegram style herald with archival tape on its verso, both from Wild Cargo (1934); and a folded printed illustrated map from the Frank Buck Bring 'em Back Alive game (1934). Unrestored materials with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. They may have tears, slight paper loss, pinholes, minor stains, edge wear, corner bumps or bends, and/or some fold separation. The heralds are folded and somewhat brittle. The tiger art is coming loose from its board. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Fine.
