    Captains Courageous & Others Lot (MGM, 1937). Photos (9) (7" X 9" & 8" X 10"), Lobby Card (11" X 14"), & British Theatre Program (Multiple Pages, 5.5" X 8.5"). Adventure.
    Vintage gelatin silver, single and double weight, glossy photos. Starring Freddie Bartholomew, Spencer Tracy, Lionel Barrymore, Melvyn Douglas, Charley Grapewin, Mickey Rooney, John Carradine, and Jack La Rue. Directed by Victor Fleming. Included in this lot are single photos from Emile Zola (Warner Brothers, 1937), River's End (Warner Brothers, 1930), This Day and Age (Paramount, 1933); a British theatre program and two photos from Journey's End (Tiffany, 1930), one of which has been trimmed around the edges; and a lobby card from China Doll (United Artists, 1958). Of interest in this lot is a photo from Maker of Men (Columbia, 1931), which shows John Wayne in one of his earlier roles, standing next to Jack Holt; and a photo of Ward Bond with Pat O'Brien performing on stage, while John Wayne looks on from the background. Unrestored photos, lobby card, and theatre program that displays signs of use. May include light spine and edge wear, small corner bumps or bends, minor paper loss, pinholes, light curling, toning, or unobtrusive stains.
