    Description

Buster Crabbe & Others Lot (Dixie Cup, 1930s-1950s). Dixie Cup Premium Photos (5) (8" X 10") & Dixie Cup Premium Scrapbook Covers (2)(9" X 11"). Adventure.
These vintage color portraits of cowboy actors Buster Crabbe, Johnny Mack Brown, Bill Elliott, and Audie Murphy are fine examples of the promotional premiums provided by the ice cream distributor, Dixie, between 1933 through 1954. When you redeemed 12 of the company's ice cream lids, you received one 8" X 10" or 9" X 11" premium photo of your favorite star. On the back of each photo, there is a small biography of the actor with images from some of their films. Unrestored photos and scrapbook covers that display signs of use. May include light edge wear, slight creases and corner bends, very minor surface scuffs, pinholes, or unobtrusive stains. Some of the photos have two punch holes in the upper borders to allow insertion into collector albums. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Fine/Very Fine.
