DescriptionBird of Paradise (RKO, 1932). Fine/Very Fine. Die-Cut Double-Sided Mobile (12" X 17").
With its unique double-sided image, and the 3-D legs inserted into each side, this was meant to be used as a mobile, usually hung over the candy counter where you couldn't miss it. Not that this pre-Code image of a scantily-clad Delores Del Rio would be easily missed. Fragile pieces like mobiles seldom survived from this period making them quite a find. Signs of use include edge wear, some creases, small tears, and a few paper lifts. There are a couple of pinholes and both sides of the mobile have smudging at the top. The hole punch at the top of the mobile has a tear and there are minor slivers of paper loss in the upper edge. Fine/Very Fine.
Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
