Anthony Adverse by Hervey Allen, Autographed by Olivia de Havilland and Donald Woods (Farrar and Rinehart, 1933) First Edition. Autographed Hardbound Book (1224 Pages, 6" X 8.75"). Adventure.
Great first edition copy of Hervey Allen's terrific novel that was used as the source for the four Oscar winning film of the same name. Two of the top stars, Olivia de Havilland and Donald Woods, have signed the book in the inside front cover flyleaf page. This book was the source of a noted young actor's stage name. He changed it from Bernie Schwartz to "Tony" Curtis. He requested and was granted, that a copy of this novel be buried with him. An unrestored book with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have spine wear with light fading and small tears, edge wear to the front cover with missing paper and fading, and some edge fading on the back cover. The pages inside are in excellent condition. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Fine.
