    Description

    Yojimbo (Toho, 1961). Italian 2 - Foglio (39" X 55").
The most well known Japanese actor of his day, Toshiro Mifune, stars in this Akira Kurosawa classic samurai drama as Sanjuro Kuwabatake, a broke warrior who agrees to be a bodyguard to Tazaemon (Kamatari Fujiwara), a silk merchant who is at war with a sake merchant (Takashi Shimura, another Kurosawa favorite). Sanjuro then pretends to work for the other side, causing the war to escalate with both enemies wiping each other out---the samurai's plan all along. This colorful Italian two-foglio has pinholes in the borders, a small tear in the lower left border, a small bit of surface paper loss in the top right corner, and extra creases at the folds. There are a few pieces of paper tape on the reverse. With its unique artwork by Manfredo, this large format and dramatic poster is a rare find. Very Fine-.
