    Description

Wings (Paramount, 1927). Window Card (14" X 22"). Twenty-eight-year-old director William Wellman, himself a wartime aviator, made this film about two World War I aviators (Buddy Rogers, Richard Arlen) who are in love with the same Red Cross nurse (Clara Bow). A young Gary Cooper also appeared in a small but crucial role as a veteran aviator. "Wings" was the first feature film to win an Academy Award. There is one long crease that runs down the left side of the poster through the hair of Bow's image, and minor scuffs and wrinkles. The poster has been professionally restored and displays very well. This stunning window card has a beautiful image of the "It Girl" Clara Bow and great early aviation artwork. Fine+ on Paper.
