    Description

When the Clouds Roll By (United Artists, 1919). Trimmed Lobby Cards (2) (10.25" X 13"). Action.
Put this on your "best silent films I haven't seen list." It's one of the most innovative and interesting silents ever made. Lots of scenes and stunts that were done for the first time, and later incorporated into many later films. Wonder where they got the idea for the famous "wall-walking" scene by Fred Astaire in Royal Wedding in 1951? Douglas Fairbanks did it in 1919 in this film, and the wonderfully athletic Fairbanks did it better! Also, this film was the first directing effort for the only director to have two films in the American Film Institute's "Top Ten" list...Victor Fleming. Starring Douglas Fairbanks , Albert MacQuarrie , Kathleen Clifford, Frank Campeau, Ralph Lewis. Directed by Victor Fleming. Unrestored lobby cards with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. They have edge wear with the borders trimmed not affecting the art, and a very small surface blemish in the center of one. Otherwise, the cards are in excellent condition. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Fine.
